This weekend, the tribe spent another weekend doing a quick backpacking trip in the Tahoe area. We ended up doing a trail called Palisade Creek Trail tucked away in a city called Normend. The trip was found off of a Tahoe trails map and was recommended by communities if you wanted to see cascading waterfalls… the fine print – it’s a ball buster.
We’re pretty in shape and we normally do trails rated “moderate” but we figured we should give it a go and level-up our backpacking game.
A little info on the trail:
- About 14-15 miles round trip
- Out and back trail with an elevation descend/gain of 2200 feet
- No camping permits needed
- Abundant with mosquitoes (be prepared)
Overall, we’re happy we did it and we’d do it again. See for yourself.
